This show is just SO good! Michael C. Hall is AMAZING! You can get involved on any number of emotional levels challenging your perspective on capital punishment and developing strong support for a serial killer.

Very well-made show. Like many shows, the first couple of episodes or so are rough (much like the first chapter of a book can be), but once the character development is solid, it's brilliant. It's hit a couple rough spots through the seasons, in my opinion, but always seems to recover well. And it may lead you to question yourself as you find yourself rooting for a serial killer.

I just started watching Dexter about a month ago and I have already watched the first seasons. It's an awesome show, very well written, and it always keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This is an amazing show. Seasons 1-4 are the nitty gritty, really get down and get to know Dexter Morgan and his Dark Passenger. Plus, watching the show is much easier than reading the books, in my opinion atleast.

Took me a bit to accept the whole idea that the main character is a serial killer, but the show is full of great characters and excellent stories. Season 4 with John Lithgow is definitely the best of the show.

The main storyline has depth and usually a few wrinkles to keep the viewers guessing. Very intelligent show that allows the audience to sympathize with the main character's 'shortcomings.'
Cons: The side stories with minor characters are usually dull and pointless. There are some romantic interests that go no where. Season 3 was pretty tame compared to the rest.

I rarely follow shows, but this one is just amazing. Love the serial killer as the 'hero', the characters - even the second fiddles - are amazingly written and developed. Great storylines.
Cons: This show makes me curse my cable package. No Showtime means that even with Netflix I'm 1 or 2 seasons behind, always.

I've only seen the first two seasons. Great characters, funny, love his sister.
Cons: It's a little trite that he only kills bad people. He should occasionally give in and slash up a stranger. That's such fun!
