Pros: introduction to the concept of magic which is not sleight of hand. I agree the visuals were terrific. I felt should have been hire than a third rank comic series hero.
Cons: Did not really seem to play well with others, so never made it to a major group (while I was still reading this title).

The classic Stan Lee-Steve Ditko stories are the best; the visuals are trippy and inspired (and drawn by an alleged straight-arrow).
