Excellent science fiction book that paved the way for generations to come and extremely interesting to compare the future as it was pseudo-envisioned back then to the future we have now.
To me, the story may be lacking some, but the vision of the future that William Gibson offers is one that can't be missed. The future's a dark, dark place.
I read this book in the sixth grade, and try to reread it every year. It predicted some of the major ideas in modern computing and is just a fun read. It's also nice and short, you can easily put it down in the flight from NY to SF.
I was blown away by how cool, atmospheric and gripping this is. Especially when you remember when it was written. It defined many ideas of modern sci fi. Cons: Gibson can be a bit difficult to read and requires concentration; he often introduces unfamiliar concepts and doesn't explain them until later.
