The best book I have ever read. Every time I read it, I find something new to love. Really interesting unit to teach to a middle school lit class. Look for political systems and commentary on modern values. Likable characters and compelling plot. Cons: sometime the author gets a little carried away when describing the beautiful English countryside.

On my top 10 list of favorite books. Granted, it's the story of a band of rabbits on a mission but really entrancing. I saw the movie as a kid and was totally horrified and enamored by it. I read it as an adult and was pretty blown away by how much more meaningful it was. Great read.

A great story in its own right with some profound things to say about societies. I've read it three times as a child, a youth and an adult and found new aspects to it each time (and enjoyed it each time too).

the best rabbit adventure ever. Actually one of the best "quest" stories ever, up there with LOTR and Narnia.

Classic bunny epic in the vein of Lord of the Rings. Not just for kids, it's more profound and less mockable than some might assume. The invented vocabulary is great. "Tharn" would be perfect for a Frightened Rabbit album.
