See also Cilantro: The terms can be confusing. In the US "Coriander" generally means the seeds(great in beer recipes) whose flavor seems to have no connection to the leaves which are called Cilantro. In Britain, the leaves are sometimes called Chinese Parsley. The Plant contains Saponins which make it taste soapy. Its a mystery of science as to why so many people love this flavor.
