If there is one movie that you want inhabiting your children's dreams, it's this one. Friendship, obsessions, being true, love and beauty are matters that are treated while giving you a giggle in every scene. A movie to motivate any child to read.

Jim Henson's master work. With the young and marvelous Jennifer Connely, David Bowie in a role he is most believable in - King of the Goblins.

Right up there with The Neverending Story for me... twisted muppets, a giant maze and David Bowie as the goblin king. Dance magic, dance.

I saw it ages ago, and at the time it was probably one of the very top. If it wasn't, I'm probably glad I wasn't around then

A must see for 80s babies. If you missed this as a child, do yourself a favor and get it now. If you have kids that are about seven or older (kindergarteners and younger might be frightened by it) then make sure they get the good stuff now. It's never too soon to start a love of David Bowie, though.
