This is my favorite show, like a lot of others on here, for myriad reasons. No matter how much I learn about it, there's always something new to adore. I can't, of course, say this for every episode, but on those wonderful days when the acting, writing, producing, directing is all beautiful, it's damn near perfect. It gives me hope and optimism and renews my faith in the universe.

One of the best shows on air today. Love the Eleventh Doctor -- and his bow tie! (Bow ties are cool.)
vengeful_cynic recommended this 1 year, 6 months ago
A cultural touchstone amongst people of good taste. Also a definitive icon for all modern nerds.

This show is ridiculously amazing, every story line sucks you in. Easily my favorite TV show that I have ever seen. You can't help but love every second of it.
patricrawley recommended this 1 year, 6 months ago
I haven't seen that much of the first eight doctors, but I am a huge fan of the ninth and eleventh doctors. This show captured my attention almost as quickly as LOST
irishpikey recommended this 1 year, 7 months ago
Great show with a fantastic story arc. Christopher Eccelston and on are great for most. The 1967 to 90's great for people that really get into it.
joesgirl1230 recommended this 1 year, 7 months ago
Seriously one of the best shows on television.
Mirakesh recommended this 1 year, 7 months ago
Sexy, creepy, intellectual sci-fi -- need I say more?

Great sci-fi! Light, dark, funny, serious, and a little camp.

I'm a huge fan!! Best TV show!!
buckybuckmaster recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
All about the highs and lows, doctor who at times has some amazing characters and plot lines and yet every now and then breaks the streak with a ridiculously silly plot line.
halfvoid recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
Loved David Tennent and love Matt Smith even more as the new doctor. Sometimes campy, sometimes dark, sometimes pure awesome sci-fi fun.
amanda-moritz recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
season six is back from its summer hiatus, folks!
patrickmoberg recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
Recent obsession. Really fun writing. It can seem like a monster of the week program at times, but, if you stick with it, they reward the fans.
untanasus recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
The longest running science fiction TV show that keeps geting better and better.
chickletsrfun recommended this 1 year, 8 months ago
I am absolutely obsessed with this show. It is fantastic. Its one of those shows that has it all. Adventure, Plot, and pulls at your heartstrings. Also, DON'T BLINK.

Great writing, great acting and an old-fashioned sense that everyone involved really really cares about making the show unique and wonderful.

The best TV series. Ever.

I've been meaning to watch this forever. Where should I start?
thepretentiousglasses commented 1 year, 8 months ago
I began watching in 2005 with the 9th Doctor, and I have also watched most, if not all available classics. I think you should probably start with the 9th Doctor (2005), then if you like him move on to the 10th and then to the current (11th). Then, if you feel more adventurous, try the classic series. Some episodes from the 60s are missing, but there are lots of others.
thepretentiousglasses commented 1 year, 8 months ago
Oh, and all (I think?) of the missing episodes are reconstructed on audio, as all their audio survives.
racheltarian recommended this 1 year, 9 months ago
100% obsessed, and you should be too!! Words cannot even describe. Any naysayers ... GO WATCH BLINK. Only then do you get to have an opinion.
LNoguchi recommended this 1 year, 9 months ago

Definitely one of the most fun, exciting, and greatest sci-fi shows.
Kathriller recommended this 1 year, 10 months ago
I remember the first time I watched Doctor Who, I was a little kid hiding behind my uncle's couch and we were watching some old taped episodes. The 2005 reboot has been a great chance for my generation to get to know the show. Chris Eccelston, David Tennant and Matt Smith are all fantastic Doctors. Karen Gillan, the current companion (playing Amy Pond) is painfully attractive. I adore her.
jenamac recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
This show has everything from the seriously weird to edge-of-your-seat dramatic. Something for everyone!
crystaldave recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
One of the best shows on television (as well as one of the longest running ones, but still...) Funny, powerful, beautiful, witty; this legend has it all.
mcdalek2233 recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
A legendary TV show that has run since 1963
Classic series (69-89) did have flaws (such as terrible SFX) yet program still gave out great stories and well-loved characters
NuWho is much better in my opinion (2005-) still got the same quality, plus decent effects :D
Best TV show ever made
ScarletInk314 recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
:D I can't wait for next episode. Definitely favourite TV show. Ever. Seriously, not even Glee. Nothing beats Doctor Who.
bruden_dw recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
A must see for any sci-fi fan. Especially since Steven Moffat took over as show runner.
micorku recommended this 1 year, 12 months ago
A fun romp through space and time, it is an overall fun journey. There are some bad episodes, but the brilliant episodes more than make up for it.
ducttapeshoes recommended this 1 year, 12 months ago
My latest obsession, this show is somewhat of a legend, running since the 1960's, it follows the life of the last timelord (the doctor) and his amazing adventures abord the tardis (his space ship that travels through time). The best part is that if you don't like the doctor, you can skip ahead a season or two and find that he has regenerated into a different person with a new attitude.
stephenwalrond recommended this 2 years ago
From the ninth doctor onwards, and particularly from the writing of Steven Moffat and Russel T Davies, this show has become great fun. It's camp, whacky, challenging and intriguing.
ashybear recommended this 2 years, 1 month ago
Great British television. What more is there to say?
booboomcgoo recommended this 2 years, 1 month ago
Favourite TV show. Unusually awesome and for all ages.
ggarrettson recommended this 2 years, 4 months ago
It's a show for the whole family! It's got everything from love triangles, to historical events, and it mingles in real hard to hit issues.
Cons: Sometimes the CG is a little lacking, but the show is so good I barely notice. And the new season has really kicked it up a notch!
alteredbeast recommended this 2 years, 5 months ago
Cult.
Clever stories, dialogs & references.
You have enough episodes to make a few "Dr. Who weekend marathons".
Cons: Uneven quality.
A few lame movies about Daleks.
tylernol recommended this 2 years, 6 months ago
I have watched this show since I was a child in the Tom Baker Days. Charming funny and many times brilliant.
Cons: sometimes formulaic, bad special effects in the old ones(but those had a certain charm)
sofakingjewish recommended this 2 years, 8 months ago
It is the classic all around best SciFi show of all time. Seasons 1-5 are on Netflix streaming
Cons: BBC produced, forces me to *invent* ways to watch it. Ping pong ball plots might turn some off.
jstresing recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Pretty much my favorite show ever (good job, Hunch!) It's awesome. Really.
Cons: A lil' silly, and sometimes there will be a really dreadful episode. But you'll find that you don't care very much. Because the awesome-ness makes up for it.
rbracker recommended this 2 years, 10 months ago
Humorous, interesting, clever, cute and addicting. Stephen Moffat as head writer is genius.
Cons: Sometimes an episode will suck, but it's okay for some reason.
