I watched this based on a Hunch recommendation, and man, it's got to be one of the strangest movies I've ever seen. Based on the story of thieves stealing a device that allows them to manipulate the dreams of others, Paprika is a dark and often uncomfortable watch but with wild and hallucinatory animation. Storyline is often completely incomprehensible, making little sense, but the art is amazing.

If you thought Inception wasn't dreamlike enough, welcome to Paprika. Made by the late, great Satoshi Kon, Paprika involves a superheroine who can jump into the dreams of others and a villain bent on merging reality into his own warped dreamland. While this is definitely among the best anime films, it is far from sterotypical. Also, it actually makes sense in the end!
