Really an amazing book. Takes Jasper Fforde's ingenious imagination and throws it at a dystopian society in a way you never see coming. The only downside is waiting around for the rest of the series to come out.

Another masterpiece from Jasper Fforde! This is a world where what you can see defines who you are--too bad if you only see shades of grey. This hilarious satire falls somewhere in the realms of The Hunger Games and A Canticle for Leibowitz. Sure, it takes the first three chapters to get used to the new colortopian society, but now it's hard to believe in a world otherwise! Waiting for number 2!

New in paperback, Jasper Fforde's newest series takes place in a world where color is everything -- social status, career, even life itself. Can two young people buck the system and expose the corruption before it is too late? If you enjoy dystopias, low fantasy, steampunk or science fiction, this is a fun novel. It takes a little while to build the world but then you will be hooked!
