No matter how you slice it. These words,this man was great. Freedom demands universality not selective self indulgence. Freedom is not to be given it is an inalienable right endowed by our Creator.

In my opinion, President Lincoln was way ahead of his time in his understanding of society. Freedom denied to anyone or any group, by another person/group, shows they, the denying, do not fully understand what it means to be ‘free’. As a result, they need to learn the lesson of a-loss-of-freedom denied in the most intimate, learned-way!
