I love the way spaghetti westerns are really much more like Italian art films. Morricone's sweeping retro score for this is superb.

The High pinnacle of the spaghetti western. This is such a refined and artful masterpiece that it really exceeds the genre. Leone's direction, Morricone's masterful music make the movie and Charles Bronson's character steals the scenes. It takes some patience but this one is worth it.

The best of Sergio Leone's westerns, Once Upon a Time in the West is thrilling up until the final moments.

While no character is as iconic as The Man with No Name, all of the major players are memorable for their mystery, charm, dastardliness, and beauty.

The cinematography is simply stunning, framing landscapes that are as close to endless as possible. Simply beautiful.
