This is one of the greatest feats of animation that I've ever seen. It helps that there's a great story involved, and that there are a lot of great actors who provide voices.

This movie was alright, but anybody but Clooney. He's just plain annoying; that voice annoys me. Life Aquatic and Darjeeling eclipse this by leaps and bounds.

Already equipped with great characters and an interesting story, Wes Anderson's direction and the animation takes it that one step further to keep your attention fixated the entire way through.

Wes Anderson is the only man in this world that would put an animation team through 16 hours of crazily detailed work for a 30-second shot.
Cons: read the book.
