Dark, twisted, and definitely hilarious, one of Garth Ennis' finest works.

Great dance between writer and artist. Characters are colorful and dialogue has great rhythm. Surprisingly romantic in places, balancing out the horrific moments.
Cons: Humorous spots are uniformly juvenile. Writer sometimes has an axe to grind.

Possibly the best story I have ever read, and that's saying a lot.
Cons: Kind of contrived in some spots but I think that was the point.

Intense, character-based storytelling over a very long period. Worth reading for anyone not likely to be offended by, well, anything.
Cons: It has the potential to offend pretty much everyone.
