ah, i went there last weekend and the cherry trees had no blossoms so i assumed i had -missed- the blossoming, not that it was in the future! darn!
nonetheless, it was great. i saw an unexpected number of turtles.

We went there yesterday for Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom festival). I saw a 310-year-old bonsai! It was gorgeous, but crowded.

A great place to spend a relaxing weekend day in Spring or Summer—a huge garden on the edge of prospect park in Brooklyn (next to the Brooklyn museum) with tons of different sections devoted to different types of plants and styles. I’d suggest entering on the North side and making your way slowly down towards the rose garden and cherry trees. Lots of people really like the Japanese garden too.
