Tomatoes are a gift from the gods. Modern tomatoes found in grocery stores that been modified with salmon genes and who knows what else are sins against the gods of food. The only way to ensure a constant suply is to have your own greenhouse.

No substitute for true love or homegrown tomatoes. Anyone who cooks knows the value of a fresh, local tomato- and they're easy to tend provided you do your homework.
Cons: Vulnerable to pests- try spraying with a mild solution or dusting with Sevin powder. Larger varieties will also need support.
