This is the book I'd want with me on a desert island. There are new nuances to discover every time you read it. Like all of Jane Austen's novels, it's classic literature but with a happy ending. Austen can fully flesh out a character AND mock her with just a few well-chosen words. Even if you don't love Fanny (the protagonist), the villainous, comical character of Mrs. Norris is a classic.
