Great stylistic action movie. Reno and Portman are good but Gary Oldman really steals the show with his over-the-top portrayal of a corrupt Federal agent.
Just watched this movie for the first time today in over 2 years. It was like watching it for the first time. Everyone in it does such an amazing job. There aren't really any slow spots and it was just a well made movie.
Great plot, acting, and everything in between. I don't like action much, but this film is something I always watch if it's on TV, finally bought it on DVD a while ago!
Quite good. Watch the international edition. They cut ~30 minutes in the US release, which happens to be the 30 minutes with most of the plot and characterization that turns this from a standard-ish action movie into the heartwrenching film it truly is.
Probably Jean Reno's finest role to date, he plays the defining hitman character, an absolute badass "cleaner" who ends up becoming a guardian for a young, impressionable Natalie Portman.
