Never been a fan of Pandora - but mainly because I was trying to support the UK-based Last.fm. Still to this date, Pandora is not available through most of Europe and so I'm more supportive of Spotify.

Though I love other internet radio interfaces (i.e. iHeartRadio, Spotify) Pandora remains one of my favorites. Easiest and most effective to use, plus it needs recognition for being The Original.

Good for when you want to listen to music, but don't have anything too particular in mind

Awesome place for when you don't know what you want to listen to or when you want to find something new to listen to.

I love Pandora running through my house, with stations of our own crafting, portable to car, iPhone, etc. I realize there are alternatives, and I haven't looked hard. But part of the reason for that is because I no longer have, in Seth Godin's phrasing, "a streaming music problem."

I absolutely loved pandora until I moved to Canada, where it does not work.

This is a great way to find new music that you like based on what you already like. Sadly it no longer works outside the US.

This is a great place to go if you're looking for new music.

I've been listening to Pandora for quite a few years now. I keep adding stations and taking some off because it's fun to experiment. Found a lot of great new musicians (to me). Recommend paying the extremely low price to have no commercials. Also, although I don't do it, you can get an application for your phone or tablet.

This is great. No need to buy music anymore.

I have been a long-time Pandora One subscriber. One of my irks has been that it seems to ignore my 'put it on the shelf' selections, and that it seems to have a top-40 like algorithm. However, I absolutely love the new beta interface! The shuffle feature works much better than the custom mix feature, and its music predictions are much more attuned to my tastes. Good job, Pandora!

This is one of the first music sites I ever used on the internet, and I still use it. It's great at holiday time, I work on my computer and have holiday music playing on my "holiday" station. I have a "doo wop," "blue grass," and many others. Whatever appeals to me at the time.

I have multiple stations - for different settings and different moods.

I love the stations I can create, the new music I find, and the humor stations. I listen daily, and often find new music I want to buy.

Would love to recommend it but it doesn't work outside the US

This is great. I don't spend a lot of money on music, so my personal library isn't where I would actually enjoy it. Pandora is the perfect fit. I do however change my station every so often b/c it will typically start to play terrible music. I don't know why.

Best music discovery service around. The radio is awesome, but you'll need to pair it with Grooveshark or something else to have a real music collection.
socialmedia recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
Music Genius. It finds songs I either forgot about or never would have listened too. Either way, very rarely are there bad songs on my station, and if you find a bad one you simply thumbs down it off your station. Pure ear candy. Win - win.

I can't even guess how much music I've discovered through Pandora. It's not always spot-on with its recommendations, but it learns fast, and tweaking a channel into perfection is part of the fun.

Pandora's great. I tend to prefer listening to full albums, but when I'm in the mood for a mix I usually go to Pandora.

It knows exactly what I'm in the mood for, every time.

Pandora is great. It's also a free and convenient way to provide music for an otherwise quiet office environment. We listen to it all day every day at my work and it never gets boring because it's easy to create a new play list.

Good music selection; will give you good songs to listen to and it will introduce you to some artists you may have never heard of.
wobbles1999 recommended this 2 years ago
Pandora's awsome because it can work for anyone. It has a simple idea, that's smart. Everyone has a favorite artist, and people enjoy this concept.

Love Pandora. I actually pay for it to get rid of ads. Reasonably priced and really nice Mac client.

This is a great way to discover new music while listening to artists you already enjoy. Too bad it doesn't work overseas.

Completely worth the premium price for ad-free and other features (like ability to skip more songs/hr). Even allows concurrent logins on multiple devices, which is a nice feature.

I've been using the site since its inception and I never noticed the introduction of the ads until they started playing OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD condom ads!! wtf? Particularly problematic if you got the speakers going in a coffeeshop.

Yeah, it's a great way to get exposed to new artists when you're not driving with the radio every day.

Free music (with ad breaks). Best part is, though, that you are introduced to new music that you will enjoy listening to based on your music preferences. Kind of like Hunch ;)
