The World Ends with You (Nintendo DS)

Unique gameplay, one of the rare games I've seen that takes full advantage of the DS's two screens and touch screen format. Interesting storyline set to an accurate portrayal of modern Shibuya, Tokyo, so much so that it's almost like being a tourist. Fun music, and good replay value. Definitely worth a try.

Very hip, very Japanese, and very Square Enix... but it's like nothing else they've ever made. From a fierce battle system to an ever revolving, brand based armor system, the game uses some of the strangest mechanics ever, but they all work. The story is an emo-pop thriller of a teenage ghost trying to find out who killed him and why. Sound nuts? Try the game. I bet you won't put it down.

A very Japanese kind of game that involves a teenage angst-filled story, clashing but catchy music, a unique battle system, and a good amount game play. There are also some good extras after the game.
Cons: There's a steep learning curve, and a guide is needed to help out with some of the extras. The music, fighting style, and story does take some getting used to, and you'll either love it or h...
