One of my favorite Stephen King books, get something new everytime you read it
Cons: horrible movie adaption, ruins the circus for you,
ending is a bit of a let-down

Only Stephen King book I've enjoyed. Behind the scary story - and, oh god, is it scary ! -, there's a melancholic tale of childhood and coming of age.
It's a surprisingly good book.
Cons: Really bad movie adaptation.
You'll probably never be able to see a clown anymore without shivering.

King brings every nightmare you have ever had into this book. If it scares you, it's in here.
Cons: You won't sleep comfortably until you finish all 1191 pages.

Only Stephen King book I've actually read. Scared the pants off me, surprisingly Lovecraftian.
Cons: If, like me, you actually somehow ENJOYED the old TV miniseries, the novel will definitely mostly ruin it for you.
