Coffee and Cigarettes

A collection of vignettes, filmed over a period of 17 years, showcasing for the most part, the inane conversation that occurs between acquaintances over coffee and cigarettes (mostly conversation about having coffee and cigarettes). A fairly interesting insight into the process of conversation, interesting from an artistic standpoint but at times seems a little forced and unnatural. 6/10.

I hate cigarettes, but I love this movie. I loved it more because the people I watched it with hated it so much.

Fantastic. In what were meant to be vignettes, combined into a full feature. Great absurd encounters with mismatched characters. Brilliant!

Now that I am a connoisseur of both, this movie makes a lot more sense to me. I feel like I need to watch it again. Anything Jarmusch touches is fucking gold, basically.
