The humor just snaps and character flaws are real and highly forgivable. Beautiful, dry, but not filmed mostly on location -- the crew had to collect tons of leaves when Hitchcock took them back to Hollywood for sound stage filming.

Hitchcock had a wry wit and he really flexes his comedic muscles with this one. Think "Sleepless in Seattle" meets "A Weekend at Bernie's" set in the 1950s.
