A beautifully written book that manages to encompass every important detail of growing up and the loss of innocence that comes with it. I very much consider this a classic and a must-read for every teenager.

charlie is a character that is unforgettable and almost universally relatable on an intensely intimate level. awe-inspiring in its ability to connect to such a broad variety of people, and in the process kindle some kind of understanding between them. when i read it (back in high school) it produced instant nostalgia for the present, a renewed appreciation for the life i was living.
