The very last page charms you to the place and the people. Old trick of an ending but executed perfectly.

There is a sincerity captured in this book, taught and exemplified by each character, that I've yet to find anywhere else. It gets better every time I read it.

Everybody's favorite book and with good reason. It speaks to all ages in its own way and when re-read re-amazes.

This is one of my favourite books of all time. I read it for the first time when I was about 12. And I've read it at least once every year since then. I'm now 30.
What do I love about it? Scout Finch. Her honesty is brutal. She'll teach you something about yourself and about the world around you.

One of the best books I have ever read. Moved me very deeply. And one of the best Southern fictions ever.

I actually *chose* (yes, /chose/) to read this book in 5th grade. An excellent read, although some say it's like fruitcake- you either love it or hate it. I'd disagree with that as well, fruitcake is just o.k. in my eyes, but the book is fantastic.

Best book I was forced to read in high school. Scout is a timeless character.

What can you say about To Kill a Mockingbird? It's the gold standard for all novelists ... a writer's dream to create an Atticus Finch ... a story that withstands the test of time. You are incomplete until you have seen 1930's Maycomb, Alabama through Scout's eyes!

One of my all-time favorites, that can be read again and again and again. Plus, the author is an Alabama girl like me!

One of the best books I was forced to read. I would have missed out on a classic if I hadn't read it.

Definitely one of the better books my Grade Ten english teacher inflicted on us. It was definitely way before its time.

I think everyone should read this book or at least see the film.
Cons: I heard "they" were trying to remove it from the high school curriculum

Excellent book; Lee keeps you hooked from beginning to end and the story is both compelling and distressing; a must-read

Classical legal morality tale.
Cons: Inspired many young people to go into law who later ended up becoming corporate lawyers.

A classic. Even though you were likely forced to read it in high school English, it's worth a fresh read again.
