It would be great if we could merge our recommendations to Hunch. I also prefer Movielens' half-star system. Take note, Hunch. Movielens rocks!

Recommendations are actually quite good. Lets you compare your expected rating against the expected rating of friends. Quick links from each movie to its imdb / Rotten Tomatoes page.
Cons: Smaller database than, e.g., imdb, so obscure indie/foreign flicks not likely to be there. Also, fewer numbers of total ratings might hamper suggestions compared to a site like Netflix.
