he creates elaborately thought out characters leading grippingly twisted lives

His novels are frighteningly honest and true to human nature. His work forces you to invest in characters that one typically wouldn't invest in. His work screws with your mind as it pulls you deeper and deeper into the story.

Everything (except pygmy) I have read by him has been amazing!

I love how his books seem to just jump at you and while you sit down knowing you're gonna be shocked the way he does it is always with a great style.

His sense of satire and wittiness, are admirable. One of my inspirations as a writer.

Brilliant writer who isn't afraid to reveal the horrifying or disgusting facets of real life, as well as the beautiful ones. He knows how to balance the bad with the good, and his writing style is unique and refreshing.

Very few of today's authors offer more too the point evaluations of today's society than CP. And of those few, almost none of them do it in as twisted a fashion.
Fight Club and Choke are his two most well known, by my favorite is Survivor, and Rant is a pretty high up there too.
His early work is can't miss, though I haven't gotten around to reading his more recent stuff.

Wonderful author, my preference is early works.
If you are a stranger to his writing start from the top and follow the rabbit hole until you stop.

one of the great of this generation of authors.Often dark, but always funny, he's clearly a born writer and an unique one.

Writes in a diverse variety of genres. Rant was my particular favorite, different than the rest and a fascinating take on paradoxes.
Cons: Kind of quirky writing sometimes, but that's his thing.

Brilliant and unique mind, clever way with words, interesting pace which makes the books fun to read. Unique subject matter.
Cons: Some books/at times may seem simply shock fiction. Darker themes may disturb some readers.

I've read all of his books, the earlier works are much better. I buy every new book that comes out and read them in a matter of a month.
Cons: The past 2-3 books have been following the same recipe. It'd be nice to get something out of the box similar to pygmy. While the storylines change the way the story is told remains the same.

He has very innovative and new views on some common subject matter, which in turn kind of creates a new subject entirely. A very good read to take you outside of what you think and have fun.
Cons: Haunted might disturb some people. His books can be hard to follow here and there but it just takes a little re-reading.
