"The Idiot" is perhaps my personal favourite book EVER written. Dostoyevski is an amazing writer who's works shall last forever.

He's been called one of the greatest "psychological" novelists, and there's a lot of truth to that. While the setting of many of his scenes (so called "scandals" in 19th century upper-middle class Russian sitting rooms, but even that's a bit unfair I'll admit) might seem a bit anachronistic, the motivations and emotions behind them are timeless.
