This is my favorite recent dystopian sci-fi novel. Great characters and moments of dark humor. The story is unsettling as it never feels very far from our reality.
Like so many really good sci fi novels, the themes in this book hit really close to home. Some of her themes are playing themselves out this very moment.
This is one of those books you can't describe. It isn't 1984, it isn't a post-apocalyptic survival novel, there are no bad guys, and the story is told in a wonderful, lyrical non-linear fashion.
