I watched this anime 2 years ago. Hayao Miziyaki is a renowned anime artist and is one of, if not, top animators in Japan. He was behind this anime. I have watched all his work and all were amazing. Ponyo is Japan's answer to America's Disney "The Little Mermaid." A great animated film for kids and adults.

I love this. So much. Make sure you watch the Japanese version with the English subtitles - that way you get to skip the terrible, auto-tuned, English version of the theme song by Mini-Cyrus.

Just saw this! Great story and animation - not formulaic like many US animation movies. Loved it to much will check out Hayao Miyazaki's other acclaimed film Spirited Away

Imaginative. Well animated. Brave and loyal little children. Super cute.
Cons: Plot wasn't very engaging.

Very cute. Amazing underwater scenes and magical storyline. Suitable for very young children.
Cons: If you're looking for a rational plot, you may come away from Ponyo disappointed. Horrible auto-tuned theme song in closing credits of English dub.
