Cons: Lost some identity moving to the new Yankee Stadium, following Joe Torre's departure, and followed by deaths of principal owner George Steinbrenner and legendary voice/public address man, Bob Sheppard

26 World Series, a bevy of players that changed the game. Combine with a talented current team and an owner who will win at any cost. Lots of offensive firepower right now.
Cons: More media attention than smaller market teams. More than any other team, it uses money as the primary method of talent acquisition.
