If you're going to use wires and CGI in your kung fu movie do it well. If you do it half as well as Kung Fu Hustle you're doing a good job. Lots of great jokes about kung fu movies and some great fight scenes too.

If you are in the mood to laugh and see some crazy martial arts, this is just the right movie. In many ways, this movie reminds me of Looney Tunes because the fighting is so silly and cartoonish at times.

This movie is awesome! Over-the-top kung fu without the limitations of gravity (or reality in general). I’d recommend watching it with subtitles instead of dubbed. It’s funny, it’s cute, and it has awesome fighting scenes! If you watch this and like it, you might want to check out Shaolin Soccer too.

The movie is a madcap romp. The slapstick parts really need no translation. Stephen Chow has a master's sense of timing.
Cons: Some of the jokes require familiarity with Hong Kong cinema tropes. The kung fu relies heavily on wires and fx despite some talented performers.
