This breed is very gentle. They are very loving to. The Russells are also very adorable. I recommend this breed to anybody who likes the following: gentle, loving, and adorable dogs.

Most loving pet I ever had. A real hunter, will dig up moles and chase squirrels. Will catch any small animal on the ground. Extremely smart.
HEAVY SHEDDING. Loves to dig in the yard. Need a fenced yard.
Loves to curl up beside you when she gets tired. Needs a lot of play time.

super energetic, extremely smart, loyal, can be protective even though most are small-medium sized.

Hardly any shedding because of short, smooth coat. Friendly, completely and utterly devoted to me! Will not rest until I am home says my family! Intelligent. Every JR has their own personality!
Cons: Can be unsocial with young kids if not introduced with them at early age. Some can be yappy, my last one never said a word and my current one shouts to the high heavens! Needs plenty of exercise.

Very smart, social and inquisitive. Mine does not bark for no reason and learns instantly.
Cons: They need exercise. A lot of exercise. I run in the park and take mine with me and she is fine. NOT good to keep in the backyard all day.

Extremely intelligent, mine is very calm, travels well under the seat in airplanes (she's a shorty Jack, under 10 inches tall)
Cons: Does shed a lot, better when you shed comb regularly. Does need exercise, like people do, but calm when they get what they need. Hyperness is in the breeding, look for calmness in bloodlines/parents.
