This beautiful dog breed makes a wonderful family pet. The live to be loved. If you want them with their long regal feathers - daily care must be taken. They are active and need daily exercise or they will pace in your house. They will love your children as long as they have been properly trained and socialized. This breed will gain more popularity here in the U.S. We adore our Gordies!

Gordon setters are the teddy bears of the setter group. They live to love you and love to be part of everything you do. They are active hunters and very intelligent/trainable. Gordons make great family dogs. They are lovers, not fighters, so don't count on them for protection, though they will bark. Need daily exercise and frequent grooming as their hair gets curly and out of control.
