I feel almost embarrassed recommending this movie, but then why should I be? If any film deserves a recommendation, its this one. A classical sweeping epic of love and politics. As we witness the unstoppable march of Soviet history, it's hard not to notice the stark contrast with Zhivago's gentle humanistic ethos. Watch this on a Sunday afternoon.
