Pros: Quiet, loyal dogs with a sense of humor. Great dog for a single person. They're happy to exercise but can get by without too much.

Cons: Often discriminated against for housing & insurance; they have a reputation as being aggressive. VERY stubborn - possibly just not that smart. Need lots of training. Twice a year your house will be covered in fur/undercoat.

Loyal, beautiful, funny, good guard dog (naturally, without protection training), quiet (pay attention if they bark), active, rugged, low maintenance, low/med energy in the house, quirky, smart
Cons: Independent (can be seen as stubborn), high prey drive (can translate to problems with small animals), blows coat (shedding), can be aggressive to other animals (early socialization is key)

Very pretty and they make great guard dogs.
Cons: Be careful, these dogs are highly independant and are known to be aggressive towards smaller dogs or other pets of the same gender. Pricey. Start training EARLY!!!

A really gorgeous dog.
Cons: They have a shorter life span. Highest cause of death is cancer, so that can be pricey and difficult.
