The movie was fantastic, and so are the books! Great storytelling and characters. The story is more complex than the film, and even more fantastical, but completely captures the generation of twenty somethings today that grew up on Mario Cart and Dragon Ball Z.

The Scott Pilgrim books manage to accurately represent the Millennial generation while combating our tendency towards being jaded. These books are actually romantic (says the commitment-phobic cynic.) O'Malley describes how all people brush against one another in their endeavors, leaving lasting impressions and just maybe, when the time is right, finding one another. Wonderful story.

I don't know if it's fashionable to like Scott Pilgrim anymore but I don't care. The pop culture references are witty smart, characters interesting and the story completely bonkers. And there is much more contents than in the movie!

i'm reading these comics right now. it's definitely worth reading at least one volume because the humor and videogame aesthetic are really unique and fun.

after that they all start to feel a bit the same in my opinion, but i'm still gonna end up reading all six volumes cuz they're addictive :'(

Really great series of comics. Turn into great movie. A lot of video game humor. Characters are really enjoyable and funny.
