The Deftones do great covers. They also have an intelligence and artistic quality that sets them above the rest of the nu-metal pack. They have many modes from aggressive to mellow to thoughtful.
Cons: Deftones albums are so thematic and aesthetically harmonious/well-integrated, that you will either love them or hate them. At times their aggressive qualities can come off as trite and bland.
