I tried out the SG classic (P90 pickups ) and the SG faded recently. It makes sense to spend the extra few hundred dollars to get the SG Standard. The fretboard is bound, making if feel like a more precise instrument, and these humbucking pickups sound warm and rich when played clean or with distortion.

Amazing sounding guitar. Light, easy to play and sounds great for most styles. Rock, blues, punk... This guitar shows up all over the place.
