Unfortunately, when you're in the backwoods the battery thing isn't always possible. Heck, if you're not me, the fire thing probably isn't possible.

This apparently charges your cell phone with the energy you release when you heat water with fire. Just what I need! It costs about the same as a regular camp stove.

I'm not sure what to make of it. There is no Jack-in-the-Box near where I live, so I can't try it out. I guess that it might be gross, but I'm one to try out octopus, so tally-ho! Ah, well...

Yard art is not exactly my thing, but I love yard birds! I don't know what it is about a flute playing, lollygagging, or ninja bird made out of shovel and rebar that is so fascinating, but I must say that yard birds take the cake.
