Adorable, affectionate, fun to play with, easy to maintain.
Harder to find a petsitter, requires a lot of money for unexpected medical expenses, as ferrets get sick easily, or may swallow objects.

Can eat cat food; playful and affectionate; will choose *special* humans to interact with. They make and/or find their own toys. They've been domesticated longer than cats or dogs. *Not* rodents!
Considered an exotic animal, they are extremely expensive to get vet care for -- 3-4 times the cost for a cat/dog, and they'll need it. They will wreck your upholstered furniture building nests.
