It would be great to know a question is declined at the time of declining so I could edit it and move on instead of finishing my Hunch only to find a question missing (and an email saying it's been declined in my Inbox).

Also a way to import my contacts from Twitter or something would be awesome.

Great product thus far!

You will be getting a notice via Hunch Notifications when/if it gets put into action or not (if I am understanding your question correctly).

Contacts, yes, will take under advisance. Glad you're liking it!!

Re: the first part of my post

I was referring to when I'm creating questions for topics. Apparently one of my questions' answers contained invalid characters. The system didn't inform me of this at the time. Rather, I was sent an email notification saying the question had not been accepted due to invalid characters in one of the answers. This would be fine, but I didn't notice the email until I'd finished creating my Topic. I would hope for immediate feedback from the system when I try to submit invalid characters, rather than the system silently deleting my topic question.

Hi capstinence, newly submitted questions go through two types of checks. First, they pass through a relatively simple automated check to see if the question looks like a duplicate of existing content, has offensive content in it, etc. Second, the content is reviewed by a person here at Hunch.

Your question passed the first part of the review process and so you didn't get any immediate feedback about your submission. However, the answers in your submitted question failed the human review step due to the non-sensical answers like "ASDAF" in your submission.

Since the human review step does not happen in real time, we can't give you real time feedback. However, you will receive a message under Notifications in Hunch Mail about any content we don't approve.

Hope this helps!

i find it confusing that to add a topic i need to go to Topics... Create Topic. when i filled in the "Today I'm Making a decision about..." box i expected that i would be able to create a new topic from there - being required to select from the drop-down confused / frustrated me.

also the "full name" field on the topic was a wee bit confusing (i entered *my* full name... :) i think something like "title" would make more sense to me.

parenthetically, it would be nice to be able to delete topics that i created :)

hope that helps! and nice work, the site looks and feels great.

thanks tom!

(figured out how to delete a topic btw - expected it to be on the actual topic page)

Hey Kareem, glad you found the delete topic page. But for anyone else looking for it, check "Your Contributions" under "You" in the top menu bar. You'll see everything you added organized by topic, question, result and pro/con. There's a delete link next to each of your contributions.

I'd like to be able to my weight answers to questions. In some cases price may be more important to me than location or features. I want the ability to say "consider this more than that."

Does Hunch do weighting automatically based on how it's trained?
