In general I like the passive nature of the Browse tab and I like that I choose who to follow but I would find it very useful if there was a way to "open the tap" sometimes and go beyond browsing or looking at things those I am following have recommended. Most of the time when I make a recommendation it is because something spurred me, I think a direct request from a Hunch user could "spur" me. I recommended Lonesome Dove today because I saw it while browsing, but had I been asked for a recommendation about a book or more specifically a western, etc. I would have offered that recommendation on request. When I'm looking for a recommendation because I am about to go to eat, buy a book I'd like a more active way to receive recommendations. The filters on the search recommendations tool rely on the tags, which aren't always the best or most descriptive. Is there a way to fine tune the recommendations search so that folks could receive up to the minute recommendations from Hunch users who are willing to answer "live" requests?
