Very friendly, usually lack aggression, great for all ages to be around (so good for family)
As with all big dogs, higher cost to keep well fed and requires more room in the house

Loyal, friendly, smart, and good with kids. Generally active but they don't mind being lazy either. Booming voice will scare away burglars everytime!
Prone to eat everything within reach, can get overweight easily. Risk of hip displacement and (rarely) twisted-stomach. Seasonally sheds. Booming voice. May lick your burglar if he doesn't run away

I have a black Lab who I have had for 14years, he is going grey like me and is still like a pup at times. The best dog ever, loyal friendly and well behaved. I have never had to take him to the vet.

Another great family dog. You can take them jogging, hang out in the house with them and play fetch and such.
Can get fat and are often really smelly.

Very Smart(easily trained after year 1), Very Friendly, overall best dog for anyone, ive had them all my life within my family!
when puppies they will chew anything, ive seen some with severe seperation anxiety, they most likely will have hip problems after 6 yrs or so, never had issues with twisted stomach but heard about it.
