one of the best destinations for cultural orientated travelers. great food too. mostly friendly and warm-hearted people.
for ladies the local boys could be a bit too friendly. not a very organized country.

Variety of destinations, in fact it is a good idea to plan a trip by theme (history, food, wine, landscape, early civilizations, etc). Good food, fairly in-expensive overall.
Depending on place visited/season can be really crowded with tourists. Choose time/places carefully. Not always as organized as it should be.

Have wanted to go for years. Italy has it all- architecture, history, art, countryside, food, friendly people, etc, etc. Never disappointing.
Can be crowded, plus somewhat of a language barrier- but no one seems to mind!

Beautiful scenery, world-reknowned architecture and museums,a little something for everyone. Lots of places to go on foot and explore on your own.
High-density tourist areas attract many undesirables ,preying on unsuspecting tourists, great deal of walking for those with health issues.
