personally, i think The Horrors 2009 album 'Primary Colours' really encompassed a throwback to everything great from the late 80's and 90's, like My Bloody Valentine, and Ride. 'Still Life' really shows that their horizons have extended further, back to the mid 80's. this amalgam of influences creates stirrings of more eager anticipation for their next album, out later this year on XL records.

a powerhouse vocal performance with an impressive instrumental makes the best pop song i've heard in a while. should go down very well for fans of 'Washed Out' and 'How To Dress Well'.

my latest track, i thought i'd share it with you all as i've got the feeling you'll thoroughly enjoy it.
it's kinda hard to pin a specific genre on my work, so it's best i don't try.

wow. this disturbing, haunting, powerful, poignant and magic music video from Esben and The Witch really hit home for me. similar to Souxsie and The Banshees, 'Marching Song' sounds like Florence & The Machine, but dark, very dark indeed.

a pretty rare UK future garage track. its vibe is formidable.

for me, this is easily the most anticipated album of 2011. out later this month, 'In The Mountain In The Cloud' sounds like it's gonna be full of solid psych rock tracks, and anthemic heart wrenchers.

a fantastic example of the sound of the UK dance scene at the moment. essentially dubstep/garage, but with an essence of 90's house in the vocal hook and hat shuffle. all in all, a powerful weapon in any DJ's armoury.

Dangermouse won a grammy for best production on this album, and rightly so, it's impeccable. the band also bears host to James Mercer from The Shins.

A series of viral music videos from an electronic music project headed by Swedish songwriter Jonna Lee.
This is just the prelude but I strongly urge you to watch more if not all of the videos featured on the Youtube Channel.

one of my favourite songs of all time. i saw this band live a few months back and i was absolutely blown away. such an idiosyncratic style; unmatchable in my opinion.

this is by far the most disturbing thing i've seen in years. in a good way, of course.

this intelligent waltz from Sotu The Traveller has an incredible feeling of warmth and wonder. the video's pretty cool, too.

Ruddyp successfully demonstrates how to make the most out of Ableton Live and a handy MIDI controller.

love the original, adore this. James Blake proves to be more than just a good producer, but a brilliant vocalist and musician, too.

as soon as summer rolls around, this is the first thing i think about playing as loudly as possible. never fails to get the feel-good vibes going at any summer BBQ, party or social gathering.

This is probably my favorite book, and that's a little more revealing of me than it probably should be.
Nick Twisp is a sex-crazed 14-year-old who will stop at nothing to be with the girl of his dreams. And this is his diary.
The movie based on the book of the same name is all right, but it doesn't do this tome the justice it deserves.
