These are stylish, attractively priced, unusual, and an excellent match for the massive Tovolo ice cubes I recently recommended.

I have previously enthused about IKEA silicone ice cube trays, but really, it's like, you think that's an ice cube tray? THIS is an ice cube tray. One per drink, and everyone has to leave when their massive cube is gone.

Some time ago I recommended FinishSafe, which at that time was offering free IDs. Apparently, that strategy did not work: they are out of business. Having an ID on your shattered, unconscious body is a good idea.

I can indulge in Internet diversions whenever I like, but some people may benefit from locking themselves out for a specified period. If you renege, the penalty you pay is having to reboot. Both Mac and PC. A correspondent with considerable time demands has said she has reaped benefits.

If you are in love with biking, and data about yourself biking, this is for you. It mounts on your handlebars, and gives you constant satellite info about your speed, distance, elapsed time, and average speed. When you get home, you get the excellent experience of uploading to your computer and seeing the route on a map or satellite image, and such tidbits as max speed and elevation gain.

1200 pages! 44 bucks (even with free Super Saver shipping)! No Kindle edition yet! A book club where we can't even go out drinking together! Rarefied subject! I am intrigued! Good luck!

I admire Joseph Epstein, the former editor in chief, and I was PBK myself, which, with $6, will buy me practically anything at Starbucks.

Super flexible ice cube trays with highly advantageous volume/surface area ratio. Idiosyncratic shapes that will make your friends want to come over for drinks. Even if IKEA is not in your 'hood, you should be able to afford the shipping.

You could get beat up almost anywhere for this. Jacket and pants too short.

Who knows what the name means? It is a bunch of different people playing the music of the difficult curmudgeon genius Stephin Merritt.

Glad to see Pynchon so well represented. I have always considered A Confederacy of Dunces ridiculously overrated, and I can take difficult, but Neuromancer was too much so.

...for this year's skis. Pay a huge discount for last year's, whether new or demos. Pay $30 shipping, or pick them up in Lakewood, CO. (The whole thing is kind of moot, given this year's snow in most of North America.) But I got an awesome pair of Dynastar Legend 8000s with bindings for a small fraction of retail.

Can one try this at home? Mainly I have found Search by Image to be much ado about nothing.

You can do it by hand by going to images.google.com and searching for something, then dragging the top "similar image" up to the search bar, and repeating.

Of course, whoever made this video used a program to automate that, and also to never use the same image twice, to avoid loops.
