good coverage of consumer internet startups

breaking big stories, often more research than other blog sites which make ridiculous claims
the site definitely has a personality and you need to stomach its opinions in order to get the facts

For better or worse, TechCrunch has it's finger directly on the pulse of tech reporting; it breaks big stories, and is worth skimming.
The style is condescending at best, and flat-out focused on clicks and revenue as opposed to revenue.

There's always something new on TechCrunch. They update often.
Some posts are not newsworthy and are only posted because of a personal connection to the founders.

One of the best Web 2.0 blogs on the internet. Arrington and crew constantly update the site with new services and almost always provide early access to readers.
Michael Arrington can, at times, seem somewhat high and mighty and the quality of the posts fluctuates greatly.

Techcrunch sometimes publishes stories with little or no fact backing them up. They're more interested in pageviews than actual considered thought/reporting.
-
Mar 30, 2009
Techcrunch always goes for the sensational headlines. They're trying to be the "national enquirer" of tech reporting. Often inaccurate.

*The* industry blog for technology startups. Reports on breaking news, reviews startups, and publishes opinion pieces. Often breaks stories.
Sometimes reviews sites of little or no interest, or gets obsessed with certain sites like Facebook or Twitter. Has a Valley bias.
