An odd animated film, highlighting corporate prevalence, our own recognition of their symbols, and their role in the impending apocalypse.

A colorful, whimsical, and well-animated film with solid voice acting and infectiously upbeat musical numbers. The preachiness, a little overbearing at times, is suited for teaching young children to value the planet.

The very talented actors in this original and insightful short film have to rely on expression and tone to communicate a story, allowing the audience make their own interpretations.

Devilishly witty yet still has that suave 60's spy feel. The cast including Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, and Judy Greer has great comedic chemistry. A smart, sexy, hilarious romp with spies, weapons, and alcoholism.

Poignant and heartbreaking. An original view of the moments before death when one's life "flashes before their eyes". The film almost runs circularly, from birth to death.

Book art adds a new dimension to books themselves, an aesthetic value rather than just literary.

The meticulous work of the artist and his unique method of poured resin makes Goldfish a spectacularly lifelike collection. The colors are so bright and vivid and the shapes and shadows are incredibly realistic. I can hardly wrap my head around it.

This DIY light art is whimsical and adds a magical quality to any decor or art collection. The homemade aspect is great for the crafty.

The reimagining of fairy tales wins this show points for originality, but the dry dialogue and stock characters makes it unspectacular.

Winner of Best Picture, Best Actor for Kevin Spacey, Best Director, and Best Cinematography in 1999, American Beauty is dark and richly complex with characters that are as much funny as they are sad. It's really a film about the turmoil under placid appearances, about lust, rejection, and how we're all pushed into roles we can't fufill.

Rocky Horror Picture Show is a homoerotic LSD trip. Tim Curry's hilarious and overtly sexual performance Dr. Frank N' Furter is what really makes this film a cult classic, highlighted by the naïveté of Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and the demented cast of other colorful characters.

This film about a heartbroken artist, his inability to sleep, and his night shift at a grocery store has a really subtle quality to it. Yet it is beautifully shot, well acted, and has a surrealist slant which makes it an original, indie must-see.

A really solid Dreamworks film with good animation and 3D effects, well voiced characters, and funny dialogue.

A vivid portrayal of American culture during Prohibition, the Roaring 20's, and the early Great Depression. Ken Burns is a master documentarian, not a dry moment (no pun intended).

A welcome return of a great children's show and a refreshing break from trashy television. A little ironic that it takes a tv show to get children reading, but a really great program for a new generation or those who are feeling nostalgic for the books of their youth.

Kimbra has such a unique style and is just an amazing pop vocalist with an indie jazz sound. Her new album Vows (with this song) is available on iTunes on May 22nd!

Very similar to the original but the technological aspect with all the graphics makes game play even more engaging.

Strangely addicting. A great sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office game.
