Folksy little tune. Stuck with me.

Future Islands stripped down to chamber music. Captivating. The burden-ridden voice comes even more haunting without the synthies.

Bobobo is nice electronica beats , Speech is great british conscious rap, so that sums up to some great niceness for a laid back sunny weekend.

Guitar and Voice, Songwriting. That's all.
Highly recommend the series 'Watch, Listen & Tell' - lot of nice stuff and hauntingly beautiful performances. Love the Bombay Bicycle Club's - Dust on the ground there.

"One day baby, we'll be old Oh baby, we'll be old And think of all the stories that we could have told."
Nice. Melancholic story and uplifting beat... because the could have's belong to our life.
...reminds me of Mobys Play-Time

Dillon singing over a sample of Jens Lekmans 'Pocketful of Money'
Highly recommend the Album, for me it's like Lykke Li meets James Blake. Not to put them on the same level, but nicely done stripped down, melancholic, sampled pop.
Here it is sung by Dillon right over the Track playing -

Song develops nice from a fragile wish to a strong and well, brave stance.
Less cabaretish than 'High low middle', enough piccolo nonetheless...

Future Islands in a rare optimistic mood :) Like all their work hauntingly beautiful romantics and thick, deep dance sentiment.

dramatic little folky pop song - they got me hooked with the end, two voices like shouting against the breaking of waves, against fate and fear ... 'the sea, the sea flows for me' - it's sung like a haunting wish, a curse almost ... maritime lyrics in sparingly instrumented songs seem to get the old sailor in me.

Unleash the papery army of Monsters to ... well, err, to crush things less solid than paper and you know let them do what papertoy monsters do.
Pat your low imaginary abilities with the imagination of others. Some are good, some weird, some fantastic and it's easy for the double left handed to assemble them. And it's cheap for 50 Monsters right at your hand.
I like Heidi, Zeke and Lambert ...

Story of a Yuppie with a nihilistic hedonism and a really unfriendly sociopathic trait on the one hand. The story of a left-out bummer who is in a more or less vergetative state. The entanglement of the two reflect on the conditions and consequences of self/other induced life changes. Like we long for little destinies, that the modernity can't offer. Somewhat radical, provocant and melancholic.

If you like The Knife or other nordish & melancholic electronica, give them a try. Saddly just one album released before the band broke up.

Film by Kazushi Watanabe.
Eulogy for the burnout of resistance. Slow and strange, colourful and melancholic. Like old blood rumbling through your veins.
