At first glance, this appears to be simply another point-and-click adventure game; however, the eloquently frightening story-line quickly establishes itself, coupled with disturbing yet beautifully rendered graphics. The puzzles are challenging, yet (mostly) logical, and the characters well developed. A warning, though: don't play this if you like your stories neatly wrapped up in the end.

The final installment of this classic adventure game series. The return of familiar characters from earlier games gives this sentimental appeal. The various themes borrowed from Greek mythology add a sense of grandness that allows our hero to go out in fittingly epic style. Those were the days..

One of the best series of classic PC games I've ever played.

I remember how, as a child, I was so drawn to this fantasy world. Since I was too young to understand the advanced dialogue at first, my mom and I played it together. When I was older, I used it to teach my younger brother to read. A family classic :)

This is one of the most beautiful food blogs you're likely to find. Luise and David are vegetarians, and if anyone still thinks that a meatless diet must be boring, they will convince you otherwise in a matter of minutes. The zucchini cupcakes may sound a little scary, but they are just amazing :) The blog was recently nominated for an award by a leading German magazine, and deservedly so.

This site looks great! We've got several vegetarians in our company and I know they'll love it.

After their sojourn into Outlands, the heroes return to Azeroth in the second expansion of WoW. This time all attentions are on the frozen continent of Northrend. The final raid instance in Icecrown Citadel has the kind of epic feel I haven't encountered elsewhere in a very long time. The next expansion certainly has a hard act to follow...

The first expansion of the phenomenal WoW MMORPG. The good: new races to liven things up with their cultural and historical touches, and new content to challenge those at the top of their game. Not so good: heroic dungeons were often a protracted, exhausting bore. The raiding was, however, fantastic.

Much more than meets the eye here. I was honestly not expecting much from this, and was pleasantly surprised. Not quite RPG, not quite 1st person shooter, but elements of both coming together as you explore the secretive nocturnal world and pick at the threads of a slowly unraveling plot. Monster, rebel, royalty, star-quality or just insane? You decide your angle, and the world shapes around you.

Malcolm Gladwell explores some examples of the creative thinking behind modern innovations. His narrative is intellectually engaging, while still accessible and not overly esoteric. Scientists, economists and salesmen - the common thread is the ability to see beyond the mundane, the different perspective that sets them apart as visionaries in their fields.

If ever you have the urge to dip into the archives of classic PC games, you'd be doing yourself an injustice if you miss out on this delightfully dark and moody gem. If, like me, you feel a mild wave of nausea whenever you recall the decidedly un-funny silliness of the Zork series, don't be put off - this title most definitely stands apart in both style and atmosphere.

Spotted this recommendation and am so glad I did. I got totally engrossed in this game. Had a creepy vibe and the graphics were incredible.

Agreed :) I think the music did a lot to create the sinister feel as well. I cannot understand how some can say this was anything like Myst (which was clearly unleashed on the unsuspecting gaming community as a punishment for our sins).

This to me, is the taste of Sweden! Amazing in sweet and savoury dishes, or just as is.

Easily one of the best single-player RPG experiences of the past decade. Engaging storyline, well-developed characters, visually pleasing.

Alanna's love for food is completely inspiring. Each recipe is not only beautifully photographed, but also embroidered with a personal story.

How sad that this was never allowed to reach its potential. Perhaps somewhat unpolished, but original and endearing enough to be forgiven for that.

So much of our lives is centered around food, out of necessity.. it can be a chore, or a joy. You decide.
